What is PSI?
Pressure is a unit used mainly within America for calculating the force applied per square inch of an area. Psi stems from the old Imperial system and is primarily used in America and Britain. It measures the force applied to a tiny area, such as car tires or petrol tanks.
What is Bar?
A unit that represents pressure measurement. One bar is approximately equivalent to the pressure in the atmosphere at sea level (1 bar = 14.5 psi). It was developed by Wilhelm Bjerknes in the 1900s for determining air pressure and is mainly utilised in weather reports.
